HONOLULU -- A man who risked his own life to save a girl in a submerged car said he was surprised that no one else jumped in to help. The driver of the car drowned.Larry Cummins is in the Navy and owns two boats. His heroism Saturday night went way beyond any training or experience he'd ever had, he said. What perplexes him now was why so many people just stood by and watched, he said.

Well PO1 Cummins, thats because it takes an extra something to serve your country and fellowman. You got that something extra. Not everyone can react quickly in an emergency.
