Happy Veteran's Day

This weekend make it a point to shake a Veteran's hand. Most of the older ones went through pure hell while serving you. In church today they will mention the Vets and ask them to stand. Give them a resounding ovation.
Hell, jump up and shake their hands.
Here is an email tribute I recieved. I like it.

It is the VETERAN , not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN , not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN , not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the VETERAN , not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN , not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the VETERA N ,who salutes the Flag,

It is the soldier,

Who salutes the flag,

Who serves beneath the flag,

And whose coffin is draped by the flag,

Who allows the protestor to burn the flag."

ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD,

AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.

VETERANS KNOW THAT THE OATH OF ALLEGIANCE

HAS NO EXPIRATION DATE.

That very first picture reminded me so much of my friend, Eugene, God Bless His Soul. I had to take a double take.

Hope you have been doing well.

I have a new blog address http://mymusichighway.blogspot.com
